Look Keo 2 Max Carbon

The Look Kéo Max 2 is in my opinion, the best pedal measured by price / performance / weight. I use the predecessor for 5 years. A year ago I had some play on a pedal. Simply unscrewed and regreased, ran perfectly again. Would buy the pedal again at any time. Very fast delivery and good price, as always, at Mantel.

Bought these as upgrade from older Classic Keo pedal. Wider platform feels better and overall they feel very good. Had some issues with noise between the cleat and pedal - now trying a dry lube to stop this but this was never an issue with the Classic model in 8 years.

Tried several pedals and these are the best for me. Click in easier than Shimano, cleats don't stick out and they turn very smoothly. In addition, they just look nice.

Have used my last Look Keo pedals well over 14 years and about 80000 km. Now they came into the years and they showed first Ermüdungserscheingungen, which is natural. Therefore, I have now retired them and got me a new pair: Of course, again a pair of Look Keo Carbon.

These were easy to fit and after a few hundred miles have continued to work well. They are noticeably lighter than my previous shimano A520 pedals. Price was good.

You mount the pedals attach the cleats to your shoes then forget about them for several years. I always say if you don’t notice a piece of kit on the bike then it’s perfect. Really good platform easy to use.

All my road bikes are equipped with the Look Keo 2 Max and I have never had any problems.

Mounting etc. self-explanatory, a little grease on the thread when screwing in can never hurt, as with all platforms, for occasional changes/against seizing. For those who know the SPD / similar pedals, there's little getting used to, everything is set quite firmly - the release hardness must probably be turned down for beginners. Robustness for normal use is completely ok. Grey cleats are already included - with 4.5° angular freedom, they are also sufficient for every beginner to ambitious hobby rider. black /0° I would only recommend to professionals who have also optimised their leg/shoe/etc. position. position exactly. Otherwise it could go on the knee joint... For me, the pedals of choice on various road bikes - gladly again.

Really solid set of pedals with good platform. I had Keo classics which have lasted 6 years before feeling a bit tired. The stack on this is a little bigger so its like taking 2.5mm off the crank length, which for me is a good thing.

Reading the product description, I did not think I would find the advantages described in practice. I have to change my mind, the increased surface area can be felt, and it is easy to notice the facilitation this gives in the pushing phase. The pedal is very solid, and aesthetically pleasing, which doesn't hurt at all!

I wondered if upgrading my pedals would actually make a difference, and it did! My new Look Keo 2 Max Carbon 2018 panels have made a real difference to my cycling, I could feel it the first time i clipped in and turned the crank. I would highly recommend these pedals. Great value for money too.

By default I always use Look Keo despite the fact that I have had a few problems with bearing play and re-tightening with the round knurled nut. Tighten a little too hard and the threads turn "lame" in the pedal housing

After the keo Easy, Classic and max I decided to get the carbon ones. I have always been very happy with them and these, besides the reliability of look are also very light. At such a price I couldn't let them get away, an extra classy detail for my very special :)

The pedals were purchased because they are well suited for longer distances due to the larger contact surfaces. The first impression already convinced me. The weight is outstandingly light and, compared to the more expensive Look pedals, hardly heavier at 10 grams, but much cheaper. The assembly is very easy with the supplied equipment. You only have to have the screwdriver yourself. The scope of delivery is therefore top! The supplied cleats have a pleasant angle and I will not exchange them for those with higher and lower ones. The adjustment of the resistance is very easy via the screw. The switch from Shimano to Look was easy for me personally. The only thing I was unaccustomed to at first was the low resistance when pedalling. Nevertheless, I would prefer these pedals every single day and have already recommended them to my friends.

Leading product at a.good price

Excellent service from Mantel, and cheaper than other sites. The pedals look great and were easy to install. User experience very similar to the entry level Shimanos they replaced (whilst being much lighter). Out of the box tension just right for me. I’ve heard the cleats can wear out more quickly, but will reserve judgment on this. All in all very pleased.
