Lezyne Macro Drive 1300XXL

The described battery life at all modes is totally wrong. I bought this lamp because we go mountain biking at night (in the dark) in the woods. The highest setting gives a sufficient beam for this but the battery life quickly runs out and then you are without light. The light modes below are not strong enough for the forest. The promised battery life at the highest setting does not even come close. Shame! Otherwise, this is a robust and good lamp. But not enough for me just because of the battery life.

Light good for on and off road. Doesnt always function properly, sticking on one setting, particulary in cold weather. Had this with Lezyne lights before and they right themselves after a day or two. Easy to attach and remove to bike using strong rubber strap

I like this light as it has a great range of light output options. I don't want to be the cyclist that annoys drivers with an overly powerful front light. In my opinion there is no need to run the light at 1300 lumens on the road. 400 or 800 are more than ample for good vision. And you will definitely be seen! The flashing modes and 'daytime running lights' mode are good too. Battery life has proven to be more than sufficient for my needs and I've used the light during the daytime on low power mode and at night time on higher powered modes and it's not come close to depleting the battery. I'm not sure why some reviewer have said the mode options are confusing. It's a simple loop of light output modes. Read the instructions and put them into practice and there isn't a problem! I'm happy with my purchase overall. It's a robust piece of kit! My only criticism is the handlebar attachment strap/bracket doesn't instil confidence that it's going to keep the light affixed to the handlebars. I haven't had a problem yet, but it could be better.

The key bit, the light, does what it should do. The bracket is attached to the light which is a bit of a pain when you want to charge it. Also, some of the programmes of different light intensity don't make a lot of sense. That said, it's really bright, it lasts and it's a good price.

I bought this model 2 years ago and use it regularly. I prefer it to the 1600 or 1800 price/weight: power ratio. Bought a 2nd lamp for PBP 2023. I use it with the remote control. My only complaint is that the Race mode can't be set.

Good lamp. At 1300 lumens, it's like driving in daylight! My only regret is that 1 press = dim. In an emergency (lack of light in a descent, for example), I'd have preferred the sequence of settings to be reversed.

The lamp is powerful enough and has many features. Use it daily to bike to work on poorly, to unlit roads. Also sits securely and is also easy and quick to remove. Need to charge the lamp about once a week. Am actually very satisfied with it. Only minus point is that it interferes with my speedometer when the light is mounted too close to it.

More than enough light on the highest setting, but even if you aim the beam right in front of your front wheel, you can see oncoming traffic squinting their eyes. If you aim the beam where you want it, about 15 feet in front of your bike, you are a danger to all your oncoming traffic. The attachment with the rubber is solid though, provided you get it well behind the hook and that's not really easy, especially with gloves on.

Very satisfied with this lamp, easy to attach to the handlebars and easy to rotate in position, brightness is impressive, that's what it's all about. I could easily ride for three hours in the dark. Personally, I would have preferred a separate mounting mount, but since it is so easy to attach, no big problem for me. It's a pity that you can't charge the lamp while in use with a power bank.

Been using the thing for 2 years. In the dunes it is fine cycling in the dark but still be careful at high speed, it is just not the same as cycling in daylight.

Beam is huge and adjustable. Great device. Mounting on the handlebar could be better. Is on last hole and you really have to pry the rubber strip behind the hook. It still feels like it could fall off the handlebars while cycling.

Replaced an 1100XL with this. Use it in all weather, all year round for commuting. Provides good light, a proper light pattern. A good detail is that if you get a battery warning while you are out, just lower the brightness and drive on. Another good thing is that the mount is easy to remove and replace with a more robust mount. But considering the price, the original mount should be better.

The lamp arrives in a neat and thoughtful package, looks at first and second glance high-quality and stable. The luminous efficiency is especially in the brightest level insane, but also 50% are quite sufficient at night. I use it in wind and weather as a helmet lamp and even then their weight does not bother. The only pity is that you can not see (maybe because it is just too bright) whether it is approved for road traffic, but I think not. A charging indicator in bar form would also have been nice. Overall, for the price a really top product, I will definitely recommend!

Used on city/country/city outings of over 100km, with night-time return, this light is equivalent to a car headlight. The beam is wide and the range very long. Be careful to select the right mode to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic. Full beam / low beam mode perfect.

This lamp is really efficient, and mode 2 allows you to stay in the economy or full positions, which is really handy for saving battery power. Autonomy is really good, especially if you use the full position all the time. It's a compact, well-designed product, and I'd recommend it for road and mountain bikers. Installation is quick and easy. On the other hand, the full charge time is fairly long, which isn't a problem if you're well organized. In 2-position mode, it lacks a standby position (off) with rapid ignition to increase autonomy.

Mounted on the road bike and don't have to have the strongest light by a long shot. Only on a bike path in a forest where it is very dark, I put it on its brightest and then you see more than enough. If I had to mention 1 minus point is that you go to the next position by means of a button. But you cannot go back to the previous position, so you have to click through.

Very good and functional bike light which can be combined with a wired remote control for quick on and off or switching between low and high beam. Unfortunately, the attachment to the handlebars is not easy to handle (attach and detach slightly awkward, the attachment unfortunately does not protect against theft in gernigsten).

I ordered the lamp because I have not found a really bright lamp approved in Germany under 450€. It is really bright, made of aluminum and even the silicone holder is so much better than, for example, from a Sigmalampe! Am very satisfied, even if the light could still come a little more modulated on the road.

Very happy with this lamp, very bright and wide light beam, luckily there is a race mode on it so you can switch between 2 modes (bright and soft). The only thing is the button, the rubber of this button came loose once in my backpack luckily I found it and was able to fix everything but now I doubt the waterproofness via this side. Otherwise very robust.

The light works very well. It's powerful enough to feel safe in the forest. It shines well in front and also a little to the sides, so you can see what's going on around you. However, the clip isn't great. You really have to tighten it to prevent the light from spinning.

Overall a great light, with plenty of lumens to throw, beam pattern is very adequate for cycling. The usb charging port is really convenient and handy, making it hard to run out of "juice" (charge it at home, in the car, or via power bank). The rubber style handlebar attachment is good , but I would have preferred a slide-in holder to make the light perfect. Mantel had the best price for this light, (on Black Friday) better than Amazon or eBay, or any other cyclist-friendly site. Size wise is the maximum that I would carry on my bike - but the good battery life must com from somewhere. Thank you, ride safe, See and be seen in the dark!

Already owning the 1100xl version there was no question about quality from this manufacturer, but wanting just that little more in terms of lights and battery longevity (lasts me my 1.25-1.5 hr commute every day on full power and only just showing orange as I pull on the drive) the 1300xl was the obvious option 100% reccomend to anyone looking for the ultimate compact light

This is a beast of light, super bright. I feel really confident and safe during my rides at night. Battery at max level lasts as well, plenty of time for riding at dark. As for the clamp, a flexible rubber clamp is good when I can easily change the angles so I can lower the light when there is oncoming traffic. However, this may be too flexible for trail riders where road bumps can change the angle of beam. Overall, very satisfied.

Having put up with mere 400 lumen lezyne for a number of years, thought I was due an upgrade. It's a chunky monkey, so handlebars a little cramped due to trip computer and in-line levers on my CX. Race mode is spot on; can quickly dim for approaching cyclists or walkers.
