The best rear light I know, visible from afar for every driver. The weak point is the fact that the charging connection is still a micro USB. This calls its durability into question in the long term.

I use this device on the road when I join my mountain bike area. Really efficient, a friend who was following me was surprised by the lighting power. Good light very compact and well finished. Connected without problem to the Garmin and can be controlled from it. The light promises to see you further than necessary (2 kilometers). The battery well and if it gets dirty easily washable. However, it has some drawbacks. The load is by microUSB, something old and. It only comes with a hitch of the brand, if it breaks or you lose it badly, it does not bring the classic easily replaceable rubber bands. On the other hand, if you plan to attach it to a rack, saddle or any other place than the seatpost, I doubt it will fit well. The provided attachment is by and for the seatpost.

Find it important to be seen by motorists, even during the day, which succeeds with this light! Battery life is gone after a year of daily use! If you charge a Garmin computer it makes contact itself and the light is flashing all over and is not charged in the morning, small flaw but can be set via the app. Had the previous model also and this one was good too, button is broken after 2 years though.

The plastic cap that covers the usb, is the least bad of the possible solutions ... but perhaps you could think of a charger without electrical contact (Qi) or with sealed contacts (such as potentiometers and clocks). First saw this set on a Trek at a bike rental in the Ardennes. At the time I thought they were too expensive. But finally bought the lighting set at home. Top material! I use these both as day lights and when it starts to get really dark. The best compliment was that a car slowly drove past me to ask what kind of lights these were. Bought together with the Bontrager ION 200RT. The same exact thing applies to that lamp: I expected more from this. The lamp is in terms of build quality and amount of light and light modes fine. However, if you set it to automatic, the lamp will always be on. In daylight extra bright, it will be empty after half an hour to an hour. Then it just starts to get dark. Regarding the control with the Garmin, there is also only the option to switch it on automatically as soon as the Garmin (Edge 1030) starts, or the timer starts. So then you have to manually switch on and off which is not really convenient on the Garmin. You can use the buttons on the lamp itself. Because the battery level on the Garmin is also not displayed properly (according to Garmin, the lamp is always empty or almost empty), the whole point of the link is lost. You have to pay a lot more for that.

This is my 2nd Bontrager Flare RT in 3 years. Before this the 1st model, now since October 2019 this Flare RT model. Both have broken down after +/- 1.5 years. Both the same problem, after charging they do not turn on. And no, is not because of the cord etc. Very mediocre quality for this price. Service and delivery from Mantel is top!

I was only a little confused when I started cycling my Garmin Forerunner not only connected to the cadence sensor (and vibrated), but again and a lamp icon appeared. Then I had only noticed that I can operate the light from the watch (which is purely practical erbietet; man kammt under sleeve and Hanschuh eh not ran). After wearing out several cheap taillights that were far below the price level of this one, I thought I would go for a more expensive bulb. At first, I wondered why this bulb is so much more expensive than 20-30 euro lights, for example. After 1 week of use, I can say that the rear light has already paid for itself. What a light! I turned on the light sensor, so it uses 'day flash' during the day and switches to 'night flash' when dusk sets in. Even the night flash is very visible as it is constantly on low and the flashes are slightly brighter. All in all, this lamp is worth its price. In case you doubt whether you think 50 euros is too much for a rear light, I can tell you that this is really a great little device that is worth its money.
