Good anti-theft device.
Perfect for securing my bike.

Good solid lock that does what it advertises to do.
The lock does what it is supposed to do. The lock itself is easy to use. Am happy that the storage for the lock is easy to install. Does what it advertises.

Excellent lock, big, heavy and strong.
The lock works smoothly and feels very solid. It is large so you can secure your bike frame to a post or tree. While it is a large and heavy lock, it offers a high level of security for your bike.

Strong and easy to use in many situations.
Really a very nice lock. Been using it off and on for just under a year now. I also have a Kryptonite New York Fagettaboudit Mini next door. That lock is even a bit stronger. However, this Abus, because of its larger size, offers much better options for securing your bike properly at all times. I always struggle with that with the Fahgettaboudit. In addition, according to a German test, the Abus more than satisfies the standards for harmful substances (this again in contrast to the Fahgettaboudit, unfortunately). It comes with a very nice holder that you can install in two ways. For example, you can mount it perpendicularly under the top tube, or have it "indented" if you mount it on the side (e.g. rear fork) of the bike. It is worth paying attention to how you mount it, because the holder works very well and makes the lock even more pleasant to use. It is not very clear in the manual, but if you take your time, you can figure it out. Even with the different spacers to correct for different frame thicknesses, it takes some time to see what really fits best. The lock feels high quality and is very smooth to open and close. On the Fahgettaboudit this is not as smooth. It is not my intention to put the Fahgettaboudit in a bad light. It is a slightly different lock and very strong, but the Abus is nicer as an all-round lock, gives more flexibility in securing, and is more ergonomic because of the smooth operation and the holder.

Coat has Turbo delivered quickly.
The bike lock is great in handling and weight. Now my bike is safe!

very good product
This U exudes quality, and the rubber sheathing prevents damage to the frame. The attachment allows you to adjust the position according to your frame, and you can quickly remove your U. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Good lock, but Abus lags behind with the attachment set.
Solid lock, I am definitely happy with it. One big downside is that the attachment kit for carrying the lock, does not fit our Batavus Velder E-Go.

Excellent
See the pluses mentioned. I wish I had bought this lock a year earlier

Solid but inevitably a little heavy
I've only been using it for a short time. It's heavy but seems very solid and a deterrent.

Good price for one of the strongest D-locks you can get
Great piece of kit. Lots of security features that make it best in class, including the square-shaped shackle and V-shaped ending. These are really important, because they're going to stop bolt cutter and bottle jack attacks, some of the most common approaches.

Ich fühle mich mit dem Schloss viel sicherer.
Sehr sicher, einfach zu bedienen, top auch die Halterung. Allerdings nicht an Laternen etc. Zu verschließen.

Satisfied
I haven't yet had a chance to see whether the padlock holds or not, so so far I'm happy with it as it is!

The best compromise.
Nothing negative. Does its job. Looks trustworthy/hard to crack. Weighs a little more but provides stability. No part that scratched the paint on the bike. Requires 2 saws to separate.

Strong and "light"
Bought lock because it is strong and reasonably light compared to other locks. The downside is that you cannot secure your bike everywhere because the lock is sometimes too short. (Additional cable lock can be a solution)

Excellent
Sturdy lock that seems to be just what I was looking for.

Heavy, but (hopefully!) sturdy
Having been reunited with my stolen bike, I decided to treat it to the best lock I could afford. The Abus has the advantage of being unable to be 'sprung' by cutting one side. Both must be cut to break the U, extending the time it takes someone to steal your bike. It's heavy, but I'd rather lug around a few extra grams in the interests of keeping my bike. This was the cheapest I found it anywhere on the internet.

A good buy
I bought this lock after extensive research. Although the Lockpickin’ Lawyer was able to open the lock with a specialised pick, he endorsed It. The lock is relatively light and well engineered, and opens and closes with ease. I store it on my pannier frame with a rubber strap. My bicycle is modest, but so was the one recently stolen. I now use an Axa frame lock with chain as well as the Abus granite to slow down any thief. If your bicycle is expensive use two top quality locks of different types.

Great Service
I wanted a lock that says, "If you can steal my bike with this thing on it, then you must really want my bike." So after lots of searching, this lock came up time and time again. After more searching for prices Mantel were the best value. The delivery was quick and well packaged. I've not needed their after sales service so it's a 10/10 so far.

High resistance and robustness
ABUS is one of the leading brands when it comes to security and protection for motorbikes and bicycles. This lock is very sturdy and has a robust appearance. It is not too heavy, so it is possible to carry it on the bike. For this purpose it includes a bracket that is installed on the bike frame itself. It includes 2 keys, one of them with led light. It includes a card with a code that will be necessary in case of loss of the keys. Without this code, it is impossible to get a copy of the key. It is an additional security measure. In my case, I use this lock to anchor the bike to a fixed point. Very happy with my purchase.

Great solid lock
Excellently well built, reliable locking and unlocking mechanism and a reliable bike frame mount. Would recommend!

Very strong and relatively light lock, but attachment uncomfortable.
I bought this lock for my gravel bike (as well as Pitstoppers from Pitlock) because I wanted a solid lock to use it occasionally as a commuter bike (in Amsterdam). This lock came highly recommended by a review website (thebestbikelock.com). It is a strong lock made of a stronger type of metal which allows it to keep the weight down but still gave it an ART rating of 3 stars. The size is large enough to be versatile enough (smaller shackle locks mean there are few objects you can lock your bike to). The only drawback: the bracket provided to secure it to the bike can only be attached to round tubes 15-36 mm in diameter. On my bike, that means I can only attach it in one way which means it gets slightly in the way while cycling (see photo). NB any lock can be broken open if a thief has enough time and materials (e.g. a grinder).

Honest review
I completely recommend this lock. I traveled to Belgium taking my bike with me and I was naïve enough to believe a residence parking space was safe. In any case I always use my lock through the lower triangle of my rigid frame including the rear wheel. The day after, It was incredible to see that someone TRIED to steal my bike, I saw this person tried pliers, big scissors, a metal bar, even rock or hammer punches; but the lock hold his ground, and my bike is still with me. The thief made a crack on my carbon frame, but It would have been depressing to have it stolen the first day of my travel. Thumbs up for this bad boy.

A deterrent product of excellent quality.
No problems with use, the key works perfectly. The padlock is a deterrent because of its appearance and the reputable brand. It was delivered on time and for a lower price than the competition. I would recommend this purchase.

Very secure anti-theft device
Bike lock among the few heavy-duty models required by my bike insurance.

One of the best bike locks
All bike locks can be cut by an electric angle grinder. But this lock has several good safety features, the shackle is square and cannot be turned. So you have to make 2 cuts with the angle grinder. The lock is ssf approved and does not weigh too much. I have a kryptonite new yprk standard lock that I like too, but the lock is not approved by ssf which is required by most Swedish insurance companies. Abus granite xtreme 59 is better, but weighs too much to cycle around with. Abus 540 is a reasonable lock that makes it difficult for the thief. But best to combine with another lock and to park in a place around poorly locked bicycles provides the best security.

Great D Lock
This lock is just the job Very sturdy and robust I had to buy a different frame mount as i stripped the threads of the one that was provided. The thread inserts are plastic not metal so can't be done up tight.

A really solid well constructed piece of kit
A well engineered and effective lock. I’m also pleased with the travel holder which so far has been secure and vibration free. It is expensive but meets the requirements of my insurance company.

safe and secure
when you look at and feel the solidity and robustness of this bike lock and the quality of the engineered construction you know it's worth every penny of it's price, and compared to the loss of an expensive bike it's a no brainer bargain

Sturdy lock
I always have peace of mind when I lock my bike, using this lock. It was relatively easy to mount it onto my bike, all I needed was a screwdriver. It is easy to take off when you need to use it. It’s useful that it comes with two keys. They also give you a code, with which you can order replacement keys. For a lock of its strength, it is not too heavy.

Very solid lock
Very secure and solid lock. Mounting options to the frame are not very good only way it will fit to a cannondale hybrid is in an awkward position for removal.
