According to the product specialist
Pros
Internal rim width of 24 mm, which is 2 mm wider than the C1800. This ensures more comfort and stability, ideal for tyres from 32 mm upwards. |
25 stands for the rim height. Thanks to the longer spokes, a 25 mm rim provides much more comfort than a higher rim, and it is lighter. |
The combination of the rims and strong, wide spokes allows these wheels to withstand a maximum total weight of 130kg. |
The DT Swiss 350 hubs with ratchet system engage quickly, which ensures quick acceleration after cornering. |
The GR1600 wheels are a higher class in the DT Swiss range compared to the G1800. The former have a better bearing quality, and are lighter and stiffer. |
Internal rim width of 18 mm, which is 4 mm smaller than the CR1600. This makes for a lighter wheelset and a better fit with 23 and 25 mm tyres. |
32 stands for the rim depth; 23 is also available. 32 mm is stiffer and has better power transfer, while 23 mm is more comfortable and lighter. |
The PR1600 wheels are of a higher segment in the DT Swiss range compared to the P1800; the former have a better bearing quality, and are lighter and stiffer. |
The DT Swiss 350 hubs with the ratchet system engage quickly, which ensures fast acceleration after taking a turn. |
Wide 28-inch mountain bike inspired rims that are suitable for gravel riding on dirt tracks. |
The bearings can be maintained by applying some bearing grease to the hubs annually, resulting in a long service life. |
Tight spoke tension with straightpull spokes to cope with holes in the road without problems. |
The internal rim width of 21.6 mm allows for tyres between 32 and 42 mm for optimum comfort. |
Cons
The white hubs don't look good on every bike. |
Although the weight is relatively low, it can still be a bit too deep for competition riders. For an even lower weight you can look at a DT Swiss wheel set in the PRC series. |
Although the 32 mm version offers more stiffness, you compromise on comfort compared to the 23 mm. |
Not suitable for Shimano Microspline MTB cassettes. |
