This Shimano Steps E8000 E-BIke & E-MTB 11-Speed chain has been specially developed for e-bikes with derailleur gears. With e-bikes, the pulling forces are much greater, so there is also more pressure on the chain. To prevent the chain from wearing out (too) quickly, Shimano has chrome-plated the inside of the chain, while the outside is nickel-plated.
The sharpening of this chain is done with great precision, so that even with a lot of pressure, shifting is still fast and smooth.
The installation of this Shimano Steps E8000 E-BIke & E-MTB 11-Speed Chain is very easy with the included Quick-Link. You can also easily detach the chain for maintenance.
