Shimano 12 speed makes it possible to keep the gears that are most comfortable to ride at average speeds, despite large differences in ratio. Shimano Dura Ace CS-R9200 Hyperglide+ cassettes come with a new spline mounting pattern, which is also backwards compatible with the Shimano HG 11-speed bodies. The new spider also fits 11-speed Shimano bodies. On the Shimano Dura Ace R9270 wheels only this Shimano Dura Ace CS-R9200 cassette fits.
Hyperglide+ is a technology in the developed cassette and chain that provides a more efficient way of shifting. Not only faster, but also better under load and under road vibrations. In other words, better chain engagement, stronger guidance and smoother pedalling offer more power and confidence on fast-moving terrain.

To assemble and disassemble this cassette you will need specific cassette tools. These can be found here. For further explanation and a detailed instruction on how to use these tools, we refer you to our blog about changing a cassette. See this blog.
Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring on your cassette should be tightened up, in most cases up to 40Nm. To be able to loosen the cassette, we recommend you to apply a little bit of assembly paste to the lockring. Our assembly greases can be found here.

good quality/noise/weight ratio
To replace a worn cassette, I went for a higher spacing with the 11-34 instead of the 11-30, I've lost the 16 teeth but it doesn't bother me when I'm using it and I can stay on the big chainring for longer, and if I hit 20% I go better on the 34 than the 30....
