I’ve been riding with Speedplay for years. Thanks to the adjustable lateral play, I never have any problems with my knees. But bear in mind: really stiff soles are a must because of the relatively small contact area. These stainless steel pedals are even better than my previous ones. Those started to rust quite badly, just like many other parts on my steel bike… and I’ve started to rust a bit myself, to be honest. But they can only be fitted or removed with an Allen key. And I’m a bit worried about the latter in future, because a pedal spanner does give you the necessary leverage.
