A good all-round tyre with a fairly mountain-bike feel

- Alain, 26 July, 2023

Grip is perfect, thanks to the very MTB-style profile, which could give the impression of high rolling resistance, but this is not the case. No feeling of the tyre pulling. The casing is very rigid, so you need to ride at low pressure on the trails: in electric gravel, I'm at 1.8 front and 2 rear. Beyond that it bounces, below that it's a blur.

Good grip on diverse terrain.

- Harm-Jan, 6 April, 2021

I bought this tyre not for its low rolling resistance but mainly for its good grip. I have now ridden about 2000km with it this winter and especially at the back the tread is pretty bald. I don't know if this is normal but with my road racing bike I usually ride one season with a set. About 5000km....

Pros & Cons

Excellent grip both on asphalt and off-road
Rolling resistance is not fantastic
Wears down quickly

Fine band with a but

- Tom, 12 March, 2021

Some time ago I bought this tyre in 40 mm width for my gravel racer. Getting the tyres onto a Mavic allroad wheelset was a hell of a job, it took two extra hands and a lot of force to get the tyre on the rim. Tubeless mounting was then fortunately the proverbial piece of cake, the tyre is easily mounted on the rim using an ordinary pump and is almost immediately airtight. Riding is fine, because there is quite little space between the central studs, the tyre rolls quite well on paved roads and the grip is also fine on muddy ground. What you should bear in mind, however, is that there is a fairly large gap between the central studs and the side studs that should provide grip when cornering. This results in a moment of reduced grip when turning. If you simply continue steering in, in the end there is nothing wrong but it can give a slightly uncertain steering feeling.

Pros & Cons

Easy to make tubeless
Good grip
Rolls well
Hardly fits on a rim
Large gap between centre and side studs
