Good grip, good build quality
My second set of MTB pedals. These are lighter and look sturdier than my previous set. Also nice is that you can change the height of the pins

Good sporty pedals
Fine pedals. Be careful, with trainers the screws are sharp and you will get pits in your soles. Otherwise very pleasant pedals.

Awesome but clicks...
Quality ecstatically first class and shoe grip rock solid. I have a click at 12 o'clock on one pedal which can be irritating but not a deal breaker, given they are superior to the pedals on my £1,200 new bike.

Very good product
As always Mantel fast and efficient service For the pedals, yes, a little complicated at first when you're used to automatics, the position of the foot, support more under the arch of the foot. No need for special shoes, and that's great!

Excellent quality product, very good value for money.
This set of pedals provide excellant grip and the best pair of pedals i have ever brought. They look amazing and are extremely solid and quality product for the money spent.

Good solid pedals for the price
I've normally gone for £20-£30 DMR pedals, which were fine, but were prone to bearing wear, I'm hoping these being sealed bearings will give them a bit more life expectancy. Seem solid and good size for my size 11 feet.

Great, mid level pedals
Bought these for my son and he loves them. Had a try myself and they worked perfectly in fairly muddy conditions. Too soon to know how reliable they will be but the build quality looks to be very good.

Quality Shimano pedals at a great price.
I put a set of these on my mountain bike and felt they were much more comfortable than clipless which I'd been using for years. So I bought a set for my Lightning P38 recumbent. I can push so hard on these because the platform is so much larger. My speed on both bikes has increased by about 1 1/2 mph and the studs keep my feet on just fine. I won't be going back to clipless pedals.

almost as good as clip ons
I got a new bike with the standard plastic pedals which after wear and tear lasted only a few weeks. Decided that i needed something alot stronger and saw these metal ones. They have been great and the raised screws really help keep your feet firmly on the pedals. The only downside i have had is at junctions i spin the pedals round to get ready to move off and those raised screws can cut into your shin. Regadless to say they grip so well it is almost like clips so very happy with them.

Good grip for a nice price
Nice pedals, they work well for the price. They are not very thin, if you consider this important crankbrother is a better option, do are more expensive. These pedals are also quite sharp, this is of course for grip but if you are clumsy and often hit your pedals this is a big minus point.

Toppers.
Good pedals, shoe is nice and secure with pedaling. And also look good.

Wide pedals with out-there grip!
I had these pedals put on my city bike because I take my bike daily for commuting. To have good grip (e.g. going up the Erasmus Bridge) in wet weather, I chose these wider pedals. They are excellent, incl. those pins ;-). By turning those slightly lower, I retain the grip and they don't stick as deeply into the soles of my neat shoes.

Good grip, smooth bearings, but slightly less smooth than expected.
Great pedals. Good grip. My experience with other (spd) pedals from shimano is that they have very smooth bearings. These platform pedals seem to have slightly less supple bearings. But still a lot smoother than the crankbrothers doubleshot I have.

Sturdy pedals with good pins
A relief after using the standard flat pedals supplied.

Super cool and high-quality pedals
Very good pedals for mountain biking. Previously I wanted to go for plastic pedals due to weight but glad I went for these metal ones. A bit heavier but they can certainly take a beating. It is easy to adjust the grip to what you like by using screws and supplied washers. The only disadvantage is that fitting the rings is a fiddly job, which you have to do 18 times per pedal, but it is necessary once.

Robust, comfortable, good grip
Very pleased with the purchase. The pedals are relatively heavy, but for the price, I'm not going to complain. The pedals are quite wide, which is very comfortable if you're wearing relatively soft street shoes. The spikes, adjusted to the minimum height, already give a good grip when riding on roads that aren't too technical, and don't seem to damage street shoes (1 month of use).

After a few outings, I'm happy with the performance and the feet that don't move!

Amazing pedals, Great service
I ordered these for my wife's Surly bike. Works like a charm, just had to adjust the pin as they were too high, but that was easily done. Great service from this shop. I'll be a returning customer.

Grippier than a hug from a bear made of velcro!
I'm no pedal expert - I just wanted a surer grip when cycling - (I'm something of an attacking rider - even on my daily commute). These more than met my expectations. Feet feel glued to the pedals. Very happy with this purchase! (Just be careful cornering if, like me, your switching to a wider MTB pedal after using the bog-standard pedal your bike came with).

They feel great underfoot, more power and control

Sturdy pedal with lots of grip
Large, sturdy pedal. Lots of grip - which you can also adjust by adjusting the pins. Very well constructed, very neatly finished and usable with all types of normal shoes. Less grip with "clean" shoes (smooth sole)

Good product
My pedals were worn out. These Shimano flat pedals liked them. Runs light and has plenty of grip due to the adjustable pins.
Pros & Cons

Safe mountain biking and great running with the same shoes.
With soft shoe sole very good grip. Shoes with thick soft shoe soles with not too much profile (Sketchers, for example) are ideal with this product.
Pros & Cons

Ideal, I should have known earlier.
Easy to attach and with the included washers you can adjust the height of the pins/screws. Also ideal on a normal staff bicycle or E-bike because of the non-slip and wide grip.

After installation, much difference in grip during MTB ride. Gives more confidence.

Perfect pedals at an excellent price.
After 25,000 kilometres of pedalling - without a single problem - my old Shimano set of PD-GR500 pedals was in need of renewal anyway. Never change a winning team. So I opted for these trusted pedals again.
Pros & Cons

Fine non-slip pedal
Purchased the pedals to still have a bit more grip on the city bike for commuting in wet weather. They live up to expectations. Changing the pins/screws is quite a fiddle, but with a battery screw it is quite doable.

Top pedal!
Knew the pedals already. Previous pair really ran out after several servicing now. Was very satisfied and don't expect anything different this time!

Top product for winter commuting and MTB.
Very good pedals I bought for winter commuting. Very good grip so gives a confident feeling. Very sturdy and well finished. Only downside is that you have to unscrew all the screws to put a bushing between them to adjust the length. As standard, they are very long. Also beware: the bag with the bushes/spacers is separate in the box and I only discovered it when I threw the box away with the old paper :o) Also, there are only just enough bushings/spacers for the screws. No spare.
