Shimano 105 R7000 + KMC X11

I was having gear-changing problems that I couldn’t sort out; the chain (I reckon it was a Shimano, it was the original one) turned out to be worn out, so I bought a new set straight away. Easy to fit, no punch required. Everything shifts smoothly again; my bike rides as if it were brand new. I don’t notice that the chain is heavier. The only thing I didn’t like was the finish on the chain. The chain has a thin layer of ‘something’ on it, but it didn’t look like oil or wax to me. As other chains are sold that are pre-waxed, I assumed this one wasn’t lubricated. Just to be on the safe side, I’ve waxed it. Time will tell.

Chain: simple to mount with a quick link, you do need a chain punch and pay attention to the length (number of links) because of short or long derailleur cage Cassette: nicely priced and don't even notice those few grams more than the more expensive ones...just pedal!

I bought the combination for indoor use on a direct drive trainer. Works perfectly icm with my ultegra groupset. Shifts smoothly and quickly, wear is low (especially if you use chain wax). Especially for indoor use, the upgrade to an ultegra cassette is not worth it.
