Reviews over the
Schwalbe Marathon GT 365

The tyre for those who take their bikes every day and in any weather.
I bought these tyres because for the first time I am using the bike for year-round commuting (70 km/day round trip, variable road conditions). The previous tyres were quite worn down, and had fallen dangerously a few times in both rain and sleet. These are the only tyres (by Schwalbe) without spikes and still suitable for winter conditions. These tyres make a huge difference, and bring back confidence on the bike. Grip is there in all directions, even with e.g. speed bumps taken sideways and in wet conditions. I've already ridden in frosty conditions, but haven't come across any ice patches this time. As a precaution, I kept the tyre pressure low (around 4 bar), only increasing it when the weather improves. There was a warning about higher rolling resistance. All I can say is that it doesn't really show from my riding times. The tyres do feel more like MTB tyres, and have their own shape retention and in tunnels you can hear the tyres rolling. I know from other reviews (and it's also stated this way by Schwalbe) that they are less durable than e.g. the Marathon Plus (cracks along side of the tyre), but if they last one year (which I definitely expect) I'll buy another pair by next winter.

perfect tyre for outdoor use
We live in the forest (forest area South Veluwe) and have to deal with: Leaves, treacherous paths, untracked roads when there is snow etc on the roads. We have had on our Trek LM2+ (2 units) had all the tyres replaced with Schwalbe Marathon GT 365. In our opinion, there is no more perfect tyre for the purpose we use the bikes for. Toppie!!! Nice and firm on the less trodden roads! Good grip.

great tyre in wet and cold weather
Chosen for its puncture protection combined with all-season grip. I can't say anything about the lifespan yet, but the aspects why I chose this tyre deserve a 10. I don't notice any extra rolling resistance or more noise. Super tyre for the year-round speedpedelec rider.

Trust
I use this tyre on a city bike and two MTBs (electric and regular). Reason is that I ride through all seasons and don't want to change tyres unnecessarily. For that, they are very satisfactory. Another advantage is the grip, which is really good in any surface (sand, mud, leaves, gravel, snow). As a result, the tyre gives a lot of confidence. The anti-puncture layer seems to work. Only notable point is that gravel gets stuck in the tread, especially in large sizes (in my case 47-622). This in itself is not a problem but it makes me a bit nervous for fear of possible punctures. All in all, a fine, confidence-inspiring tyre.

Great outer tire for touring/trekking both on asphalt and sand and gravel trails
Purchased this tire as a replacement for Schwalbe Spicer. Contrary to other reviews, I experience very much more resistance and the noise on asphalt roads is not so bad, on shell paths even much less. Even putting the tire on the rim did not require more effort than usual. In short, excellent price/quality ratio.

Excellent for a bike that has to be ridden all year round, and to avoid the maintenance associated with punctures!
Excellent quality at a fair price. Buying criteria: - Good grip all year round and in all weathers. - Minimise the number of punctures, and therefore maintenance. - Used on an electric bike.

Top tires for cycling in winter weather
Since I commute by bike (40km h/t), I was looking for a winter tire to have a little more grip during the winter months. After a bit of sleuthing, I ordered these tires. These have been on my bike for 3 weeks now, and this tire works very well in slippery conditions (Black ice, unsealed towpaths). you keep grip in turns and during braking, so highly recommended!!!! You do have greater rolling resistance and they buzz while you are cycling, but these disadvantages outweigh the benefits.

Mantel provides good products at a competitive price
The tires ride perfectly. Firmly inflated. And it rides much more radiantly than those oldies.

Cracks in profile.
Already after 2 years, the tyre is completely covered in cracks on both sides of the high centre tread. Not ordinary from Schwalbe brand.

Still satisfied after two and a half months
Fitted 622-40 to my Ryde Dutch 19 rims at the end of October 2020. The size 622-47 are too wide for my front fork and rear mudguard. Integrated cables from my electric bike run through the rear mudguard. In due course, I will replace the front fork and rear mudguard for wider ones, but I wanted to get to know this type of tyres first. Before this, I rode the Schwalbe Marathon GT which have too little grip in e.g. gravel on asphalt road, as well as the factory-fitted entry-level Vredestein Classic Tour 622-40 on my 28.5kg bike. Both types of tyres are super against punctures though, in fact zero punctures. Now that it is autumn in Europe, I find that these are the right choice for my daily rides to and from work. With 25 years of experience changing tyres, the change was easy. Proper inflation pressure, like my previously mentioned tyres, reduces punctures That this tyre profile has slightly more rolling resistance is something I take for granted. I prefer more grip to speed on the roads. Removing gravel and other material from the tread every week is no problem. After two and a half months of daily cycling, still satisfied with these tyres. For further information, I refer to the previous reviews.

Solid band
I use this tire for commuting on a non-electric bike. For that, it may be a little heavy, but it is solid, and so far (tire rear 3000km) has not gotten a flat. I am satisfied.
