Good impression

- SYLVIE, 15 July, 2026

This first purchase from Restrap is beautifully finished. The pannier fits securely on the top tube. It doesn’t tilt to the left or right whilst riding. My only comment is that it’s just as well the pannier tapers down towards the saddle, because when I come to a stop, my leg – still clipped into the pedal – touches the top of the pannier. I should point out that I have a size S bike (51mm). Secondly, there’s no small hole to feed through a power cable from the front wheel dynamo, so I’ve routed the cable through the opening. I hope water won’t seep in during a downpour. I still have a few more kilometres to go before I can give a full review of the pannier (hence the 4 stars).

This bag is the glove compartment on my bike.

- Pierre, 5 July, 2026

I have the 2-litre version, which I bought for cycling holidays, but I’ve never taken the bag off my bike since. I use my bike every day and there’s still room left in this top-tube bag alongside my phone and wallet. The inner lining is made of bright orange material. This contrasting colour is really handy as it ensures that everything inside the bag is easy to see. The bag features a double zip, so it can be opened in two directions. On either side, there’s a small outer pocket with elasticated mesh for stowing extra bits and bobs, but I’d be careful with keys, money or other valuables. I always keep a packet of tissues in there so they’re easy to grab whilst on a bike. Thanks to the sturdy Velcro fastening that secures the bag to the top tube and the strong elastic straps that hold it in place both at the stem and at the rear near the seat post, I’m fully confident that this bag won’t just blow off my bike.

Pros & Cons

A mesh pocket on both sides for small items
Bright, contrasting interior
Double zip
Easy to attach
Plenty of space in the 2-litre version

Beautiful and functional bag

- Anna, 20 January, 2025

Very nice bag for your top tube. If you are lucky and it fits exactly (like on my bike) it fits really beautifully from stem to seatpost. There are a few handy pockets on the inside and another mesh panel on the outside for a snack or two. Well waterproof and the material appears reliable and durable. Easy and secure with the straps. I use the bag for bikepacking, both very long trips on the mtb and weekends away when I'm lightly packed on the road bike.

Pros & Cons

Additional storage space
Functional
Seats securely

I am delighted with a high-quality product

- Andreas, 27 April, 2024

A high-quality product that is well suited to smaller frames and still offers sufficient storage space. The outer mesh pockets can each hold a bar or you can quickly stow the outer packaging of the gels in them without messing up the inside of the bag.

Top part

- Sebastian, 9 April, 2024

Simple and easy to use. The stretch pockets on the sides are practical, e.g. for a bartack.
