Campagnolo Bora WTO 33

I'm switching from tubular to tubeless with this set of wheels. It's easy to fit with the tyre levers supplied and a bit of soapy water. The precision manufacturing means you don't have to force the tyres in. I put on the preventive beforehand, but that was a mistake as I had to clean the brake track. For the rest, I'll do it after fitting by removing the valve shell and using a syringe. When I ride it, I feel at least as good as on tubular tyres, and relaunching is immediate because the whole thing is so dynamic. And it's so much more comfortable. I put 5.5 bar on 25 mm tyres, and I have the impression that it's the right compromise for my weight of 84kg. Note: Campagnolo recommends servicing these wheels more often if you weigh more than 82kg.

Very light and responsive wheels, easy and responsive over bumps. They also perform very well on the flat, so you don't need to relaunch them on the flat to maintain a high speed. They're also very fluid, thanks to the ceramic bearings. The look of the wheels is also very pleasing. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I've already had a few rides with the boras wto 33s. They're light, easy to ride over bumps and very efficient on the flat. The 33mm profile makes these wheels very versatile. Switching to tubeless provides a degree of comfort without reducing performance. The only negative point is the high price, but if you've got the budget and want to treat yourself, these are really high-quality wheels.

Pros & Cons

Weighing the same as my old Mavic Ksyrium UST PRO alu, these BORA 33s stand out for their impressive fluidity, silent freewheel operation, dynamism and much greater rigidity. The carbon brake pads are effective and a little noisy, but they alert pedestrians and, with practice, warn of impending lock-up. The wheels are not very sensitive to side winds and are highly efficient. A real pleasure, especially in the mountains.
