BBB Cycling CoreCap Valve Caps

I like the product, when it filts it works great. Ait flows faster, easy to adjust, clean look and robustness but there are some compatibility issues. In my case it only fit onto 2 out of 4 wheelsets I have. 1) Valve has to be long enougth, as the valve core threads onto the external valve stem threads, on one wheelsets the stem turned out to be too short as the valve bottoms out on the valve lock ring and keeps leaking air (not an issue for the presta core) 2) The valve stem has to have threads all the way to the edge (2mm of unthreaded edge will work but will give you less thread engagement) some valve stems have 4 or 5mm unthreade and are not compatible.

Once secured with tape or sealant, the caps last just as long as standard valves – and look much nicer too ;-)

I saw this; it looked handy, but above all, fun. I have tubeless tyres and they’re currently losing 2 bar a day (yes, everything’s tightened properly). I wrote to BBB, sent them photos, but got no reply. So I wouldn’t recommend it.

Just make sure you have a bike pump that is compatible with "big" valves

It doesn't work with most tubes, either because the valve can't be removed or because the external thread isn't compatible. Fortunately they're compatible with conti-tube race tubes and I had a pair.

Use on racing bike wheels. Top. no more clogging of the pipette by the anti-puncture fluid
