Cycplus Smart Fan Fan

The main selling point: the price compared to the competition. I would have liked it to come with a stand, but that would have made it far too expensive.

I’ve been using it for a week now and it’s in a completely different league to the fan I used before. The airflow is more than enough. It works really well, adjusting to my heart rate – which is how I’ve set it up – and there are plenty of options for directing the airflow.

It’s a shame that the raised upright wasn’t included, as the photos on the website at the time suggested that it would be.

Pros & Cons

I used to have a standard fan without a remote control; this one has a remote control and also works smartly when connected to a heart rate monitor and power meter. I’ve only connected the fan to the chest strap and the power meter; using a speed sensor isn’t ideal – you simply have to set the fan to run at 10% from a certain bpm, and then it works brilliantly.

I’ve been using the device for two weeks now and I’m absolutely delighted with it
