Castelli Perfetto 4 W Winter Jacket

PFAS-free and semi-breathable Polartec® AirCore™ membrane

AirCore is an electrospun membrane that is semi-breathable, which means it protects you from wind and light rain, while allowing air to pass through so you don’t overheat. In the Perfetto 4 W jacket, the fabric is used in a heavier 219-gram version to provide more warmth and protection than earlier, lighter versions. The membrane and all fabrics used are completely PFAS-free.

Chameleon tape on the shoulders

The shoulder seams are covered with a transparent tape that lets the jacket’s fabric show through. It improves water protection in the area most exposed to rain, without compromising the classic, recognisable Perfetto look.

Splash tail with an ergonomic design and a reflective stripe

The back panel is longer and more ergonomically shaped than in previous Perfetto jackets, and features a reflective stripe. Thus, it offers better protection against road spray from your rear wheel and makes you more visible in the dark.

• The fit is tailored (close-fitting), as with the rest of the Perfetto range.
• Wear the jacket over a thin thermal layer as soon as the temperature drops towards the lower limit of 4°C.
• For colder weather than 4°C, a thicker winter jacket or an extra insulating layer underneath the jacket will be more comfortable.

• Wash the jacket on a low-temperature cycle and leave to air dry; high temperatures in the tumble dryer will damage the PFAS-free coating.
• Wear a thin thermal layer underneath as soon as the temperature drops towards the lower limit of 4°C, rather than immediately reaching for a thicker jacket.
• Check the drainage holes in the back pockets from time to time to make sure they aren’t blocked and water can drain out properly.
