Description
To take full advantage of the power and capabilities of Sram groups, you need a cassette that's up to the task. In the design of the new Sram Rival/Apex PG-1050 cassette where the 3 largest gears are on a spider, Sram has omitted certain teeth from the smaller gears. This has resulted in a cassette which can be switched efficiently and directly in all situations.
• Material gears: thermally hardened steel
• Weight: 250 grams and up

• 12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23-25
• 11-12-14-15-17-19-22-25-28-32
To mount this cassette you need specific tools. These can be found here. For a more detailed explanation and instructions on how to use these tools please refer to our blog on replacing a cassette.
Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring of your cassette can be well tightened, in some cases up to 40 Nm. To make removing the lockring in the future easier, we recommend lubricating it with a bit of assembly grease. You can find our selection of assembly greases here.
October to March:
• Wash every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and lube the chain after every ride
• Let the bike dry at room temperature
April to September:
• Wash every 300 km
• Rinse after a ride in the rain
• Dry and lube the chain after rinsing or washing

I always use SRAM cassettes as they offer slick shifting. This 1050 is for my commuting/wet racing bike. The 12-25 cassette offers a great range with my compact chainset, ideal when I have a heavy rucksack on my bike and the road points skywards on my commute.
