Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- This chain is made extra strong and durable for use on an e-bike.
- The precise grinding means you still shift very smoothly even under load.
- This chain is mounted by means of a chain connecting pin. This is not as easy as with a missing-link.

Great necklace at a decent price
Having worn out a KMC E10 EPT chain within a year (about 1500km) now this Shimano chain for on the Deore group of our Benni Boost E-Tility electric transport bike. The bike requires a chain of 150 links, so several chains need to be linked together. The advantage of Shimano shear pin versus missing link mounting seems to be that the shear pin ensures a seamless connection, where missing link moves just a little less smoothly. You notice this in the chain running, which is wonderfully smooth now, as is shifting. After a few 100km on this chain, I haven't noticed any significant wear. No rust either. For now, very satisfied with this 'workhorse'!

Good, but expensive
Fine chain, only for this price you expect a missing link as standard
