BORN Flapjack Bar

The Born Flapjack energy bar has on oatmeal basis and contains various sources of carbohydrates. These sources ensure a long-term energy release, which makes the Flapjack ideal for hours of endurance training and competitions.

The Born Flapjack Bar is easy to chew and does not melt in warm conditions, preventing sticky fingers during cycling. One Flapjack energy bar contains 35.9 grams of carbohydrates, enough to help you avoid hitting the proverbial wall.

Recommended use: Ideal for consumption prior to your workout to maximise your carbohydrate store, or during the early stages of an important workout or race.

Recommended dosage: Depletion of the carbohydrate store during exercise is one of the main causes of fatigue. Taking additional carbohydrates before and during exercise can improve your (cycling) performance. If the effort lasts longer than 90 minutes, it is recommended to consume extra carbohydrates; more specifically, 1 to 2 energy bars per hour. Or combine an energy bar with other sports nutrition products up to an intake of 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour. A common strategy is to consume nutrition bars during the low-intensity phases of exercise. The digestion process of energy bars requires a higher blood flow compared to other sports nutrition products.
