| Tyre Usage | Cyclocross / Gravel |
The Terreno Dry tyre is ideal for the fast gravel and cyclocross rider who mainly rides in dry weather and on hard surfaces.
This tyre has a special profile for dry conditions: the fish-scale tread gives you both good grip and low rolling resistance while riding on the straight. The studs on the sides, then, provide the cornering grip you need.
Cotton carcass, tubeless ready
This Terreno tyre has a cotton carcass that makes it very supple, so you will experience more grip when cornering. In addition, the tyre is tubeless-ready; a tubeless setup allows you to ride with lower tyre pressure and minimises the chance of a flat tyre.
Multiple compounds
The Vittoria Terreno Dry G2 TLR uses 3 different compounds for an ideal balance between rolling resistance, grip and durability. The tyre's carcass is made of 150 TPI nylon and, therefore, a bit stiff but also highly durable and robust. This means you can easily ride long distances on gravel and paved roads.
The right tyre pressure at all times
Not sure what tyre pressure to use? That is now a thing of the past! Use Vittoria's handy tire pressure calculator to know exactly how hard to inflate your tyres.

Excellent allroad gravel tyre
Very fast tubeless mounting thanks to its flexibility. High-quality all-round tyre thanks to sidewall patterns

Disappointing quality
Bought these Vittoria tyres in March and used them in Scotland. Tubeless laying was no problem, but the tyre went flat on the sidewall after a few weeks, in several places. Contacted Mantel and on warranty basis got money back and bought other tyres (Schwalbe).
Pros & Cons
3 / 5
Affordable and fast tyre but low puncture resistance
For riding on asphalt, this is a comfortable and fast tyre. The tyre also performs well on dry forest and gravel paths. You can inflate the tyre to max 6 bar (minus 3). On wet roads or loose sand, this is not the most reliable tyre. Unfortunately, I did find that puncture resistance is very low. Have already had three punctures within a period of five months (ride gravel once a week about 70% asphalt 30% unpaved). Of the two times, the Muc Off sealant could not seal the puncture. I will switch to another tyre.
