Description

Description

Dynamic Dry Lube is used in dry and warm conditions. It prevents dust and dirt sticking to your chain, reducing wear to a minimum. Dynamic has developed the composition of its Dry Lube in such a way that the oil has very good lubricating properties and reduces friction. Perfect for the competition-oriented cyclist. It is recommended to apply a few drops of Dry Lube to the chain every 150 km.

Dry lube or wet lube?
As the name suggests, dry lube is used in dry conditions. It makes sure that no dirt or dust sticks to your chain. As it is very thin you have to reapply it frequently. The dry lube is not so much water repellent and offers less protection against corrosion. Excellent for the summer but not suitable for the autumn and winter. A wet lube, then, lubricates much better in wet conditions and is also more water and dirt resistant, which is important in wet weather. It needs to be reapplied much less frequently. A wet lube attracts dirt a little more than a dry lube.

Frequently asked questions

When should I use wet lube and when should I use dry lube?
Wet/dry refers to the weather conditions you ride in. Wet lube will not wash off your chain after a shower, but it will attract more dirt. Dry lube is often thinner and therefore needs to be applied more frequently.

Can I use wax and oil together?
No, it is not recommended. They work differently. Wax dries in whereas oil stays in a liquid state. If you want to change from one to the other, you will need to degrease the chain first. This is especially important when changing from oil to wax!

Lubricates and chain does not turn black/sticky

- Peter 16 February 2024

Lubricates the chain sufficiently, but only in dry weather, because it is very fluid. Because it is so fluid, apply it with care, otherwise you risk losing a lot. Virtually no dirt sticks to it. Furthermore, the chain stays nice and clean and does not turn black. Do wipe clean after every ride and apply new ones. But anyway a bike, and thus also a chain and sprockets, needs TLC to enjoy it and extend its life. Furthermore mantle delivers quickly and the price was also the best compared to elsewhere

Pros & Cons

clean chain
Does not stick
does what it is supposed to do
easy to polish away

Excellent lubricant

- Mark 14 December 2023

Dry lube ensures good lubrication and silent cycling fun! After every ride (+/- 150KM) you will need to apply a new layer. The dry lube is relatively thin, so be careful not to spill too much when applying.

Pros & Cons

Easy to apply
Provides good lubrication
Reapply after every bike ride

Finest for dry weather and chain stays clean

- Edwin 20 July 2022

Remains the finest for me in dry conditions on the road bike. Penetrates the chain well and does not attract dirt. Water thin though and therefore difficult to dose, messes easily. A slightly thicker substance and it would really be perfect.

Pros & Cons

lubricates well
no squeaking
perfect for dry weather/race bike
short shelf life/kms
water thin, messes quickly

Worthless, far too liquid

- Marc 6 December 2020

The Dynamic dry lube is really far too thin, just like water...Even after shaking as it says on the packaging. Neatly lubricating the chain with a few drops is out of the question. No matter how careful you are, too much always comes out. As far as I am concerned a mis-buy and not even worth the €9.99.

Pros & Cons

Penetrates the chain well
Far too fluid
Neat lubrication of the chain is impossible
