This Elitewheels Velo TT DB wheelset is made to make you ride faster and lose little time. This is hugely important when competing against the clock, such as in time trials and triathlons. This top-quality wheelset has a disc rear wheel and a front wheel with an 82 mm rim height.
Not only is it important that your wheels perform as required, they should also look attractive! This set is made of lightweight carbon and has a neutral yet sleek design, which not only makes them look beautiful but also ensures that your power is transferred well to the road. In time trials, every second counts. Elitewheels has specially designed this Velo TT disc-brake set to help you win those precious seconds.
Marginal gains
Elitewheels believes strongly in marginal gains and knows that many small improvements add up to a big overall advantage. This is why the Velo TT rear wheel includes a valve cutout that you can choose to cover, which can save precious seconds in a time trial, as demonstrated by wind tunnel tests. Compared to previous Elitewheels TT models, the current Velo TT disc wheel has a wider inner rim for more control without sacrificing aerodynamics. This allows you to use wider tyres for more comfort on long time trials or bad roads, and also improves grip in wet conditions.
PMI foam core
The interior of the rear wheel has a lightweight, high-quality aerospace PMI foam core (polymethacrylimide), which offers the same benefits as honeycomb cores but with more strength and impact resistance. The use of this specially processed PMI material allows Elitewheels to design a wheel that is both lighter and incredibly stiff. It is also hard-wearing, so you can keep using the wheel for many seasons on end without losing performance.
Hubs
The front and rear hubs are made of 7075 aluminium, which is known to be very strong, and both contain Enduro bearings. The lightweight freehub is made with a 36t ratchet system, very fast and reliable!
