According to the product specialist

Pros
The combination of the carbon midsole and the wide XT pedal platform maximises efficiency so no energy is lost.
The dual BOA L6 closures distribute the pressure across your instep very evenly, preventing annoying pinch points on long rides.
As mud and dirt are easily drained due to the open structure of the XT pedals, you can always clip in smoothly in tough conditions.
The synthetic leather of the shoes is very easy to clean with a damp cloth after a muddy ride in the woods.
-
The stiff carbon sole allows for direct power transfer to the pedals so that your energy is efficiently converted into speed.
The two dial closures allow you to precisely customise the fit to prevent pinching.
The wide pedal surface gives you great stability when standing for a brisk acceleration.
The pedal axle is particularly well sealed against water and dirt so that it will last a long time and continue to perform flawlessly.
The heel cup with anti-twist stabilisation ensures excellent pedal stroke efficiency at high cadences and high-intensity accelerations.
The shoe's dual BOA Li2 closure allows for micro-adjustments at any time, even on the final stretch of a gruelling marathon.
With its titanium cage, the Shimano XTR M9200 pedal is very lightweight and neatly finished.
The pedals are available with a narrower Q-factor.
Cons
The stiff carbon sole is less comfortable when walking for some time but gives you a huge gain in speed while cycling.
In very low temperatures, the shoes may feel a bit chilly due to their good ventilation but this can easily be solved with a good pair of overshoes.
-
The stiff carbon sole is less comfortable when walking for some time but gives you a huge gain in speed while cycling.
Adjusting the spring tension on the pedals to make it just right for you may take some time at first but will result in a very secure and comfortable connection.
For some more stability on steep descents, check out the trail pedals.
The shoes' focus is more on performance than comfort; they are most suitable for competitive or otherwise perfomance-minded cyclists.
