Description

The Vittoria Syerra Graphene 2.0 TLR mountain bike tyre has been developed to meet the needs of the emerging down-country segment. It raises the limit of what a cross-country MTB tyre can do. Vittoria's engineers have combined low weight and low rolling resistance, typical traits of the XC segment, with excellent grip and a sturdy carcass, characteristics of the Trail segment. The result is the lightweight and fast-running Vittoria Syerra Graphene 2.0 TLR mountain bike tyre for fun riding on technical descents and rougher terrain.

Technology

Graphene 2.0
The main properties of graphene are that it improves rubber performance and enhances the properties of Vittoria tyres. In the 2.0 version, the compound is even smoother to improve desired properties such as rolling resistance, grip and control in every discipline.

4C compound
Vittoria has developed the 4C compound with the aim of creating a tyre free from compromise. Vittoria 4C involves a coating process that combines the 4 different rubber compounds in one tread. Both the tread and the sidewalls consist of a base and a surface layer. This makes it possible to place the graphene compound exactly where it is needed, depending on the type of tyre. Moreover, durability and puncture protection are improved because the robust base compound is puncture-resistant.

An extra layer of nylon under the tread improves the tyre's puncture resistance significantly.

Anti-puncture layer
The rubber insert that has been added to the tyre bead not only prevents punctures, but also enhances stability and sidewall protection.
