Torx wrenches are used to loosen and tighten Torx screws. More and more bicycle parts are fitted with Torx screws instead of traditional Allen bolts. A torx screw is star-shaped and has 6 points, the advantage of torx is that the risk of overtightening the screw or stripping the screw head is greatly reduced.
