The Sram X-Sync 2 ST Direct Mount 12-speed are equipped with the X-Sync 2 technology. Sram's version of the narrow-wide profile. The teeth are higher and have chamfers in all directions. This makes the chain quieter and reduces friction a lot. Parallel to the optimisation of the profile of the front chainrings, SRAM has also thoroughly redesigned the chain with the same goal: a more silent running.
