Technology
Politex upperThe upper of the Sidi Speed is made of Politex. This material consists of a multi-layer structure and brings the properties of densified PVC, textile and felt together. This makes Politex highly resistant to tearing, impacts, deformation and colour fading. In short, these MTB shoes keep looking good for a long time. The upper also has perforations for enhanced breathability.
MTB Competition sole
The Sidi Speed is equipped with the MTB Competition sole. This is a nylon sole that is reinforced with carbon for increased power transfer. Thus, your efforts during cycling are better converted into speed. The sole also has plastic inserts for good grip when you're walking.
Comfortable and precise fit
To be able to properly customise the fit of the Sidi Speed, the Tecno-3 adjustment system has been added. This dial closure runs the entire length of the shoe and adapts the upper to the shape of the foot. The result is a very precise and comfortable fit. The Tecno-3 adjustment system is also easy to use during cycling.
Reinforced heel cup for stabilisation and support
These MTB shoes for men feature Sidi's Heel Cups. This is a reinforced cup that stabilises and supports the heel. The anatomically shaped plastic reduces heel slip and improves power transfer. In addition, this cup provides the Sidi Speed with extra foot protection in the event of a fall.
User tips
Detailed explanation of sizing in mmIn order to help you, as best we can, to choose the right size shoe we have measured all the shoes ourselves. All that's left for you to do is measure your own foot length, and we'll tell you which shoe size per brand suits you best. Does your foot length in mm not appear on the relevant product's page? Then that particular shoe is not available in a size that suits your foot length.
You can easily measure your foot length using an A4 sheet of paper, placed on the floor against a wall. Stand with one foot on the piece of paper, with your heel against the wall. Draw a line above your big toe (or above the index toe if that is longer). Now mark your other foot on the paper in the same way. Measure both - the measurement of your longest foot is your foot length in mm's! Please note: some manufacturers have their own measuring system, and as a result what appears on the shoebox can deviate from what we have measured.
What shoe size you need can differ per brand. This is because certain brands wear larger or smaller. To help you get the perfect fit, we've also classified the shoes as narrow, average, or wide fit. Read all about it in our blog!

Lovely shoe
Handy mtb shoes that are also fine on race or gravel bikes. Feel sturdy and qualitative!
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fine affordable gravel shoe.
Fine fit and suitable for high instep. Do take 1 size bigger than normal. Shoe in green colour does require constant cleaning. Is more of a gravel shoe than a MTB shoe, as it lacks protection at the front.

Fast delivery, good customer service thanks Mantel

Nice sleek shoe with no fuss
Had bought fizik shoes first. Also size 44. These fell out very big and I didn't like them. (The lip cut into my ankle). Returned them to Mantel and got my money back without any problems. And so now these. Very happy with the exchange. This shoe has a stiff sole, so you have to want that. Not useful if you have to walk a lot during your gravel/mtb adventure. I have them mainly for commuting and was therefore looking for a neutral look and a good shoe. a lot of cycling - little walking, that is. I can also walk around the office in this shoe without it immediately looking weird. at least until I put on my 'boring shoes'. 4 out of 5 stars because there should always be something to dream about
