The Shimano SLX M7000 1x11 speed chainrings feature Dynamic Chain Engagement technology. These rings have wider and specially shaped teeth preventing the chain from dropping off the rings. For my 29er, I replaced a 30 for a 32 tooth front sprocket. Chose the SLX partly because of its strength, wear resistance and that the chain doesn't run off.
