At 1366g, the Scope R2.O MTB wheels are lightweight, stiff and responsive. Thanks to the use of a carbon rim, these wheels are enormously quick to accelerate in cornering sessions on your local singletrack. Especially mountain bikers who ride XC cross-country races will have a great time with these wheels. Scope believes the wheels they make are super solid and underlines this with an extended 3-year warranty period and a crash replacement programme.
The Scope R2.O MTB wheelset features durable SKF bearings with good sealing and low rolling resistance. The wheels are built on wide carbon rims with an external rim width of 31mm. The pre-mounted tubeless rim tape and tubeless valves make it possible to ride the R2.O wheels tubeless. The wide rim combined with a wider tubeless outer tyre provides more comfort, lower rolling resistance and increased puncture resistance.
3 Year warranty
Quality is number one at Scope. After registering the wheelset on the Scope website, within 30 days of purchase, you can activate the 3-year warranty period. When registering your wheelset, it is necessary to include the serial number. This number can be found on the registration card provided, the wheel box or on the flange of the rear hub.
Lifetime Crash Replacement programme
Despite its high quality, a Scope wheelset cannot always withstand the consequences a severe crash. Scope therefore offers, in addition to the 3-year warranty period, a crash replacement programme. With this, Scope gives you the chance to replace the wheel after a crash at a reduced rate.

Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics (AEA)
The rim profile of Scope wheels has been developed using Algorithm Enhanced Aerodynamics (AEA) technology. This algorithm calculates the most aerodynamic rim profile to ensure optimal performance. For the previous generation of Scope wheels, countless hours were spent drawing hundreds of different rim profiles, these were then analysed using CFD, in an attempt to find the optimal and most aerodynamic rim profile. This method of trial and error approaches rather than defines the optimum. Together with Delft University of Technology (NL), an algorithm was developed that defines the coordinates for the most aerodynamic rim profile.
Hub system
The Scope hub system has been re-engineered. Proven features such as the wide flange spacing (for high lateral stiffness), custom-made oversized (6803/6903) SKF bearings and the tool-free adapter system have remained and have been refined only where possible. In addition to the SKF bearings, CeramicSpeed bearings remain available as an upgrade for the R-series.
Diamond Ratchet Body System
The Diamond Ratchet body system is a newly developed engagement system which ensures that the power delivered is transferred to the wheel even faster. The standard 36T ratchet ring can be exchanged for a 48T ring if required, making your body engage even quicker when engaging.
Tubeless system
The geometry of the unique Scope Tubeless System ensures easy fitting, instant inflation, long-lasting pressure and compatibility with all (tubeless) tyres.
Local Reinforcement
The Local Reinforcement carbon technology increases the number of layers of carbon around the spoke holes on the inside of the rim. In this way, weight is significantly reduced while maintaining strength and stiffness.

Type of freehub body for 12-speed
Some 12-speed cassettes must be mounted onto the 10/11-speed Shimano/SRAM freehub bodies. They are the SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 cassettes and virtually all other 12-speed MTB cassettes whose smallest cog is an 11. MTB cassettes whose smallest cog is a 10 require a specific freehub body; for Shimano this is a Micro-Spline freehub and for SRAM it is an XD freehub.

• Cassette remover Shimano or Campagnolo
• (possibly a torque wrench)
Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10 speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.
