Of course I am positive about this Shimano tracket, but it is Mantel's support that gets five stars. Sympathetic, quick and knowledgeable, Mantel's technicians helped me replace minn old Shimano 5700 tracket. Top service, and not for the first time!

Old bracket had problem with bearings. New bracket feels smooth again. Totally fine!

Mantel indicated that there is an alternative for the crank. after delivery, it is not clear whether shims need to be used. after some measuring anyway, used one shim on each side to arrive at the correct size.

Pedalling is noiseless again. I did have a tick in the left pedal after fitting it. With the old broken bearings I had a big tick in the right pedal, but fortunately this was due to the 2 socket-head screws in the pedal being too tight.

Perfect as a replacement for the SMBB6700. Please note that the spanner used to dismantle the SMBB6700 is a hollotech II (44 mm diameter). To reassemble the SMBBR60 you need the appropriate spanner (41 mm diameter).

Purchased this bottom bracket to fit a new one in my old Trek with Shimano 105 5600 fitment. Fits perfectly, rolls nicely at an acceptable price.

My crankset is spinning smoothly again. Unfortunately, this does not fit the standard mounting wrench and you have to get expensive new ones that only fit the Ultegra BB.

Once you have the right keys, assembling this threaded BB is very simple. You do have to be careful that the plastic spacer is secure when mounting that it doesn't shoot off.

Easy to assemble, the plastic adapter works surprisingly well. Could use more than enough force, didn't budge. Just have to clean the threads in your frame before installing.

Does what it needs to do, excellent purchase.

Compared to a 5600 bottom bracket a lot lighter 89 grams vs. 100 grams and also a lot "thinner" this requires an adapter for mounting but that is also nicely included, it is plastic but looks like it can last quite a long time. The only drawback is the color it is only available in black and not in silver/gray.

i was a little wary of ordering from Mantel as had never even heard of them before. i need not have worried as service was excellent and delivery superfast. I will definitely be ordering from them again!
