The Continental Race King Protection 29 inch is a very fast XC tyre that is made for dry weather conditions. The Race King is a real legend, just as Irina Kalentieva who won two world titles on this tyre. Since then, this tyre has only become faster and provides a more secure feel. Its rolling resistance is almost at the same level as with a road bike tyre. Besides, in spite of the excellent grip, the tyre does a great job of clearing mud.
The Protection layer provides an amazing good puncture protection, whereas the Black Chili compound offers a lot of grip and a low rolling resistance. In addition, this Protection version of the Race King is also Tubeless Ready.

Very fast rolling, Nice and light they helped improve my sons dirt jumping.

These tyres arrived fast and ride fast once I fitted them to my sons dirt jump bike, They are very light and easy to fit. I noticed an improvement in my sons riding straight away, he said they feel very grippy on the track. Probably will not be great in the mud though, he has not tried that yet though.
