Shimano XT WH-M8100 MTB Wheels

Freehub body type with 12 speed
Some 12 speed cassettes must be mounted on the 10/11 speed Shimano/SRAM freehub body. That includes SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 cassettes and almost all other 12 speed MTB cassettes with 11 as the smallest sprocket. MTB cassettes with 10 as the smallest sprocket need a special freehub body. For Shimano, this is a Micro-Spline freehub and for SRAM an XD freehub.
