The Zipp 303 Firecrest Carbon Clincher road bike wheels have been given a new brake track. The Showstopper brake track offers more stopping power and is better dosed. That makes them even more suitable for the hills. The 77/177 hubs on the Zipp 303 Firecrest Carbon Clincher wheels have good sealing properties and durability. In short, the Zipp 303 Firecrest Carbon wheels can be used on any terrain, from flat smooth asphalt roads to hilly areas or roads with bad road surfaces.

Showstopper
This exclusive technique resulted in better modulation and increased stopping power. After 2 years of prototyping, extensive testing, the addition of new materials, and the adaptation of existing production processes, Showstopper braking surface can be applied. Showstopper is a coupling of an embedded texture with silicon carbide particles in the resin surface. It increases the surface roughness of the brake track, providing the rider with more consistent and responsive braking.

ABLC SawTooth
The ABLC SawTooth design consists of a marked dimple profile of Zipp. It ensures that airflow is conducted along the surface of the rim for optimum aerodynamics. Also, the stability is improved which provides more comfort.

To be used with Shimano 9-11 speed body and Campagnolo 9-12 speed body.

• Zipp quick releases

• Cassette remover Shimano or Campagnolo
• (possibly a torque wrench)

Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.

• Pay attention to the direction of travel when mounting your tyres
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim
