Shimano Premium Grease bearing grease is used in Shimano Dura Ace hubs. This premium grease creates a great layer of protection for your bearings and results in the lowest possible amount of mechanical drag. Suitable for the lubrication of wheel bearings, headset bearings, and bottom bracket bearings.
Can I use bearing grease as assembly grease?
Bearing grease is meant specifically for the bearings in your bike. These are the parts that rotate like the wheel hubs, bottom bracket and headset. Because these parts move, a good seal and low resistance are both equally important. You use this grease in or around bearings, so that they keep turning smoothly and are protected from moisture and dirt. You can use bearing grease on bolts and screws to make sure they can be loosened in the future, but it won't offer extra grip like (carbon) assembly paste does.
