One-piece titanium 60T ratchet
The freehub body and ratchet wheel are machined from a single piece of durable titanium. This makes the freehub resistant to wear caused by the cassette and protects it against mud, road salt and water. With 60 teeth and a 6° engagement angle, the wheel engages almost instantly as you begin to accelerate.
2:1 Spokes pattern and aerodynamic spokes
The wheels are fitted with Alpina Ultralite Aero spokes in a 2:1 layout (21 spokes at the front, 24 at the rear). This perfectly balances the tension between the left and right sides for high lateral stiffness and a long service life.
UCI impact-tested carbon rims
The wheels have passed more than 20 laboratory tests, including the official UCI Vertical Impact Test, which guarantees that they can withstand sudden and heavy impacts from rocks and roots.
Compatible with:
- Gravel bikes with disc brakes and Center Lock rotor mounting
- Thru-axles with the standard sizes: 12x100 mm at the front and 12x142 mm at the rear
- Gravel tyres with an ETRTO width of 40 to 60 mm (40C - 60C)
- Shimano or SRAM 10-, 11- and 12-speed or SRAM XDR road and gravel cassettes (depending on the chosen freehub)
Not compatible with:
- Bikes with 6-bolt disc brake rotors (unless you use a Center Lock to 6-bolt adapter)
- Narrow road tyres under 40 mm wide (such as commonly used 28 mm or 32 mm widths)
- Older bike frames with quick-release skewers (9x100 mm / 9x135 mm)
- Mountain bikes with Boost axle sizes (15x110 mm front / 12x148 mm rear)

You can easily fit the wheels yourself in 30 to 45 minutes. As the rim tape and tubeless valves are already fitted, all you need to do is screw the disc brake rotors onto the Center Lock mount, fit your cassette to the freehub, and fit the tyres.
Please note: When tightening the disc brake rotors and cassette, use the correct tools, such as a Torque wrench (torque for the cassette/lockring is often 40 Nm).

- Ride with low tyre pressure – thanks to the 30 mm inner rim widths, the tyre will have greater volume.
- Service the ratchet system – the titanium 60T ratchet mechanism is highly durable. Clean the hub once or twice a year and apply a thin layer of liquid ratchet grease to keep friction low and the freewheel running smoothly.
- Top up the liquid latex – if you are riding tubeless, top up the sealant in the tyres with 60 ml of fresh tubeless sealant every 4 to 6 months via the valve using a valve core remover.
What is the difference between the Elitewheels Drive G50 SS and the Elitewheels Drive G50 CS wheelsets?
The difference lies in the spokes: Whereas the current G50 SS version has steel spokes (SS), the G50 CS version is fitted with carbon spokes (CS). While the CS version with carbon spokes is even stiffer and slightly lighter for pure performance, the SS version with steel spokes offers more vibration damping and comfort on rough gravel and is easier to service and maintain.
What tyre widths can I use with the Elitewheels Drive G50 SS gravel wheels?
The G50 SS wheels have a 30 mm inner rim width and are optimised for wide gravel tyres ranging from 40 mm to 60 mm (ETRTO 40-622 - 60-622). Narrow road bike tyres with widths under 40 mm will be too flat on these wide rims and are not recommended.
Are disc brake rotors and a cassette included with the Elitewheels Drive G50 SS wheelset?
No, the G50 SS wheels do not come with disc brake rotors or a cassette. You can simply fit your existing Center Lock disc brake rotors and Shimano or SRAM cassette to them, or order these along with your new wheels.
