Shimano XT M8220 Upgrade Kit Scheibenbremse

The XT M8220 brake kit is ideal for trail and enduro use. The caliper uses 4 pistons, and the brake uses the new LowVisc mineral oil, ensuring consistent and powerful braking performance.

BL-M8220 brake lever
The brake lever shares the exact same technology as the XTR brake lever but uses materials that are just slightly less fancy. The body of the lever is identical to the XTR lever's, except that the XT brake does not have a carbon lever and is, therefore, a bit heavier. As the redesigned SERVO WAVE technology reduces brake lever friction, you benefit from an optimal power curve. This means you can brake quickly and effectively without losing power. The new low-viscosity mineral oil ensures braking power consistency regardless of temperature or terrain.

BR-M8220 caliper
The BR-M8220 caliper is the most powerful one in the M8200 family, designed for maximum control and consistency on any trail. The 4-piston caliper delivers extra power, ideal for tricky and steep descents. The brakes have a DH power curve, optimised for endurance riding. Thanks to the updated mineral oil, the caliper's bite point is always in the same place, increasing rider confidence.

Fully customisable thanks to I-Spec EV
These Shimano XT M8220 disc brakes are fully customisable. Using Shimano's I-Spec EV mounting system, they allow you to adjust the position of the brake lever and the shifter completely to your liking. An additional advantage is that you only need one clamp to mount the shift and brake levers. Plus, on the brake lever there are options for customising the distance between the brake lever and the handlebars.
