The Rotor Chain Catcher prevents the chain of falling of the smallest chain ring. With a relatively small investment a lot of problems can be prevented. In the corridors this item is called an 'anti-Schleckje' which obviously refers to the chain of Andy Schleck during the Tour de France, who's chain came of its front chainring during a gear shift.
