RD-M8250 rear derailleur
The XT M8250 rear derailleur is Shimano's first fully wireless derailleur. Its battery is well concealed inside the derailleur and, therefore, protected from any impacts and weather influences. The derailleur has been designed to withstand any form of impact and has a special impact-deflecting shape that makes it quite flexible. Thus, in case of an impact, the derailleur automatically and instantly returns to its original position to continue the ride as if nothing has happened. The jockey wheels are completely covered, so nothing can get caught in them.
Cassette compatibility
There are two versions of this derailleur. The long cage is compatible with the standard 10-51t cassette, which was also used on the previous generation drivetrains. The medium cage is only compatible with the 9-45 cassette.
Range
The battery in the derailleur will last approximately 320 km before needing to be recharged.
