The Shimano GRX RX817 Di2 1x11 Speed Rear Derailleur makes it possible to ride with a single front sprocket and still be able to climb hills without a problem. This derailleur allows you to use up to a 42-tooth cassette, providing even lighter gears!

Compatible with MTB cassettes
The 40T and 42T cassettes that this derailleur works with are the cassettes from Shimano's mountain bike range. Since this is a road derailleur, however, you can use it with the well-known Shimano 11 speed Di2 race shifters, and with the GRX RX815 Di2 shifters.

Integrated clutch
This derailleur also features an integrated clutch. The clutch prevents the derailleur from rattling on rough terrain and keeps the chain tensioned. The derailleur has a switch to release the tension from the clutch, making it easier to remove a wheel.

A crooked derailleur hanger?
A common problem is a warped derailleur hanger. This can be caused by the derailleur coming into contact with something hard, for example during a fall. Fortunately, this can be repaired! Find out more here.

Make sure you clean your derailleur pulleys too!
Like the chain, derailleur pulleys get very dirty. This makes for a less enjoyable ride and doesn't help with the durability of your drivetrain. Therefore, when cleaning the chain and / or oiling the chain, it is advisable to also clean the derailleur pulleys.
