Baserat på professionella cyklisters expertis har Assos tittat på de ständiga förändringarna i din hållning på cykeln. Detta påverkar naturligtvis hur ett par byxor ska sitta och var de ska ge komfort och stöd. Assos har utvecklat teknikerna Ergobox och Rollbar för detta ändamål.

Ergoboxen har en förstärkt baksida som ger mer stabilitet åt ländryggen. Rollbar-tekniken gör att hängslen kan placeras lägre på baksidan av byxorna, vilket gör att paddingen stannar på plats. Assos har också utvecklat en ny typ av tyg för RSR S9-byxorna: .701. Detta är ett innovativt material som består av extremt tunna garner som har en enorm elasticitet. Materialet har applicerats på ett speciellt sätt så att det nästan inte finns någon friktion. Detta gör att den passar runt benen som ett andra skinn, vilket i slutändan resulterar i särskilt komfortabla byxor.

Även byxornas padding har förbättrats:Den har blivit lättare och består av superAir microShock skum 3D padding. Detta i kombination med CraterCooler-systemet för att öka luftflödet. Den är nu ansluten till den patenterade horisontella stabilisatorn på baksidan. Resultatet? Den välbekanta ASSOS komfortnivån, men ännu bättre, och Assos:s bästa byxor hittills!

Butterfly Pattern
This is the primary textile panel that completely covers the lower back and legs and comes together at the back. A lower number of seams results in more uniform compression, less weight and increased comfort.

Type.701kompressor
A patented textile specifically designed for compression and comfort. It contains 160g/m2, UPF 50+, yarn with odorControl, maximum abrasion resistance, friction reduction and heat management.

ergoBox
This is a square pattern construction that frames the chamois at the back and encloses it to create extra stability.

Carbon Xbib
One-piece elastic material that folds over to form a supportive A-frame that provides limited vertical stretch at the rear. Above the X-joint a more flexible material, containing anti-microbial properties, is used to absorb moisture and remain flat at the front.

zeroWaist
A raw-cut and tape-reinforced edge to make the transition between body and fabric as smooth as possible. The result is more comfort with less pressure.

Ultralight Leg Grippers
The new lycra/elastane structure is woven into the straps and wraps around the thighs. The result is soft, ultra-light compression. No silicone treatment is required.

30% seam reduction
The product features flat and fewer seams. Higher comfort and lower overall weight are the positive results.

S9 Basalt
This refers to an antibacterial microfibre top layer in 3D basalt colour. It pays homage to the lava rock that represents strength, stability and courage.

superAir microShock foam
This is a lightweight open-cell foam with a shock absorbing composition. The foam returns to its original position and fills the gap every time the position in the saddle changes due to weight shift.

Assos Waffle/3D-Waffle
This is a patented three-layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates excess weight.

Surface Reduction Design
The footprint of the chamois has been reduced compared to the previous Equipe Evo pattern. This is based on losing extra weight.

Assos goldenGate
This is a patented technology that interrupts stitching along both side panels of the chamois. This allows for a more three-dimensional freedom of movement in this specific and sensitive area.

Horizontal Stabilizer
A patented central stitch, which attaches the back of the chamois to the outer fabric. This ensures that it does not slip when you walk on the pedals.

Crater Ventilation/Crater Cooler
This is a system of small holes at the front of the chamois. These improve airflow, keeping sensitive areas cooler.

XLG and TIR sizes
Compared to many other brands, Assos has two notable sizes in its range. These are the XLG and TIR sizes. XLG is actually an XL size, but with slightly longer legs than a normal XL size. TIR is the XLG size, but with a slightly wider waist and leg circumference.

What do Assos' XLG and TIR sizes mean?
XLG has the same sizing as size XL, but with longer legs or sleeves. TIR is size XLG, but with a wider hip and thigh circumference.
