Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • The Ergowave technology makes this saddle very comfortable.
  • The saddle is lightweight and doesn't add any unnecessary weight to your bike!
  • The saddle has a durable construction, so you can enjoy using it for a long time.
  • The flex in this saddle provides additional support during cycling, which is convenient for cyclists who move around a lot in the saddle.
  • The chromoly rails make this saddle less comfortable and slightly heavier than the S-Tube variant.
  • NB: The flex in this saddle makes it best suited to riders weighing approximately 75 kg; maximum rider weight is 90 kg.
  • As this is a hard saddle, you will need long and frequent rides to get used to it. It offers the best support for longer rides. If you ride less than three times a week, you need a softer saddle that offers more comfort.

More pain on/around sit bones + Difficulty choosing position

- Willem 26 September 2025

I have had a leather saddle from Berthoud for many years. These are hard and therefore perfect for the sit bones. Only they are less fine for the soft tissues. That's why I was looking for a hard saddle with a recess. Unfortunately, the SQLab saddle gave me problems with my sit bones. I also couldn't choose my position, which is especially annoying on long stretches. After 100 km of unpaved and paved trials, I concluded that the saddle was not for me. Glad Mantel has a return policy.

Pros & Cons

Beautifully shaped
Relieves soft tissue
Causes pain on/around seat bones
Difficult to find position

Ergonomic saddle with good value for money, nice design.

- JW 10 September 2023

I have a Fizik saddle on my road bike, which I like very much, to prevent the well-known perineal complaints. For my MTB bike I have also been looking for an ergonomic saddle, preferably without a recess in the middle to prevent splashing water. This 611 seems the best choice then. After mounting and the first rides, this rather hard saddle is quite comfortable. I cycle very regularly so that shouldn't be a problem, as I was a bit hesitant when ordering because some testers also found this saddle a bit hard. I rode +/- a 200 km on it without a single sore. Longest ride was about 60 km, endurance rides the SQlabs 611 will have to prove itself but I have every confidence in it .

Pros & Cons

clean design
ergonomic
Favourable price/quality ratio
flat design
ideal for MTB/Gravel due to lack of cut-out
Perhaps a bit heavy compared to the racehorses
Rather hard saddle
