The Shimano Tiagra 4700 chainrings are suitable for the Shimano Tiagra FC-4700 crankset. Available in a Compact 50T outer chainring and the 34T inner chainring with an asymmetrical 110mm diameter. The Tiagra chainrings are very durable and last long, provided that you replace the chain on time.

I can see spending more to go 105 is worth it on a winter bike. Not like your racing against Geraint!
