Description

Description

These Shimano SPD PD-M505 MTB pedals are sturdy pedals with an excellent price-quality ratio. As they have been designed for off-road use, they are perfect for your mountain bike, gravel bike or cyclocross bike. The spring tension is low, so that clipping out is easy, which makes these pedals very suitable for beginners!

Easy clipping in and out
As mentioned before, clipping in and out is easy with these Shimano SPD PD-M505 MTB pedals. They come with the spring tension in the low setting but you can adjust that to your liking. An important advantage of such low spring tension is that beginners can quickly remove their foot from the pedal, if necessary. This helps to prevent falls and possible injuries.

Technology

Sturdy construction, great value for money
The Shimano SPD PD-M505 MTB pedals have a very sturdy construction. The cup & cone bearings require little maintenance, last long and run smoothly. The aluminium body of the pedal is strong and impact-resistant. With these pedals you will enjoy many carefree bike rides!

Delivery includes

Assembly

How do I mount the pedals?
You can mount these Shimano SPD PD-M505 MTB Pedals with a pedal wrench. You can find these pedal wrenches here.
When mounting the Shimano SPD PD-M505 MTB pedals, we recommend applying assembly paste to the screw thread. This ensures that you can also get the pedals loose, and that they do not rust on the screw thread. You also prevent the pedals from cracking. You can find assembly paste here.

How do I fit the cleats?
The cleats are fitted with an Allen key. If you don't already have hex keys, you can find them here. It is important that the cleats are placed under the ball of your foot.

We also recommend applying assembly paste to the cleat screws. This makes loosening the screws easier when you want to replace the cleats.

The weight of commutators does not matter much to me, these work well, they click well so what more do you want.

Good pendulums

- Iris 22 February 2021

Great pendals for SPD, easy to use and cycle away with. No comments or criticisms. Black colour does disappear quickly due to damage from the cleat when engaging, but that was to be expected.
