The complete drivetrain has received an upgrade. The Shimano 105 R7020 Disc groupset has a revamped crankset, rear and front derailleur and shifter set. The crankset is wider and more rigid to improve power transfer. The rear derailleur is now equipped with Shadow technology, which means the derailleur is fitted below the cassette and prevents external impacts. The front derailleur has a cable tensioner and a new, more compact design that opens up new cable routing options. The shifters are more ergonomic and compact, which results in them sticking out less on the handlebar.
Please note:
With this groupset, the shifters and calipers are connected together and vented.
If you have external cable routing, you can mount the set and start riding.
If you have internal cable routing, it is necessary to purchase venting and possibly trimming materials.

Wonderful groupset at affordable price
Got this to upgrade an entry level gravel bike and the hydraulic disc breaks are a revelation. 105 is all the groupset most of us will ever need. The new iteration refreshes the chainset and improves the ergonomics of the previous hydraulic shifters. It’s as reliable as ever.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Flawless braking
My first time fitting disc brakes, and it couldn't have been simpler. Hoses and lever reservoirs are supplied ready-filled: just install, cut the hoses to length and a few them into the hoods. I tried bleeding them, but it wasn't necessary: the system was already filled. Really couldn't be simpler. Perfect braking now, even in the wet. A transformation compared to caliper rim brakes.
