Reviews over the
Velotoze Silicone

Poor quality
Since it did not last a turn, the rating is 0.
Pros & Cons

Is actually a 1-time use item
Broken even before use
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Very quickly broken
Nice overshoe to use well in rain. However, after only 2 rides one button broke. After a phone call to Mantel, I received a new pair without any problems. These did not last much longer than 3 weeks either. 2 buttons broken, tears in them. In short Mantel's service is good, but the product is just bad.

Don't buy unless you want a disposable.
A good cover in theory. 1 of the covers tore when put on from the foot. It just kept tearing. So it's just a disposable item and Mantel is doing the best it can to stop selling it. Bad for the environment and wallet.

Very fragile
Only enjoyed the overshoes for two rides. When taking the overshoes off after the second ride, one of them tore all the way through at the top, so it was no longer usable. However, I was very careful as I had already read that the material was very fragile. I used the overshoes on days when it rained lightly or had just rained at temperatures around 6°. My shoes were clean and dry on the outside after the ride. However, I still ended up with wet and cold feet due to sweat not finding a way out. I do have to admit that the shoes do look nice because of the close-fitting material. My conclusion is that they look very good but you won't enjoy them much due to their short lifespan.
Pros & Cons

Poor quality and not durable
Tear in the overshoe after the second use and therefore no longer usable

Was good, but breaks down quickly
Small holes quickly appear in the overshoes, making them no longer waterproof. They are nice, though, and for dry days they are also great to use against the wind.
Pros & Cons

Quality does not meet expectations
After 1x use already 2 snaps out of rubber, quality does not meet expectations. Better to put Velcro or similar here

Good waterproof overshoes with a better design than previous editions
The new Velotoze go on easier than the old version. I think this will make them last longer. Fine closure by means of the button. I would be careful with unbuttoning though. This looks a bit fragile. Ridden in the rain with them for 3 hours feet stayed dry and warm.
