Mounting it on my bike was a bit of a puzzle, but with the instructions and materials provided, I managed to do so. The front carrier does not stand completely straight, but that does not significantly affect handling. Tip: line the inside of your bag hooks with something soft to prevent paint damage.

I knew tubus racks had a reputation for being really good pannier racks and this was confirmed when I bought a tubus logo evo rear pannier. This easily convinced me to seek out a tubus front pannier rack. The solid build and simple yet stylish design of the DUO was exactly what I was looking for.

The duo lowrider is the coolest design of all the possible front racks for my bike (a Surly disc trucker) but beware: you must have fixings inside and outside of your front forks, and the disc calliper is going to get in the way, making it necessary to use a spacer long enough to allow the rack to sit outside the calliper.

The item was delivered very quickly (delivery from European countries is always faster than from within the UK). The rack is up to Tubus' usual high standards. Once I had determined which length bolts I needed to use, it took less than 10 minutes to fit and adjust the rack. I have not yet used it for carrying a load, so I cannot yet make a comment on this, but my hopes are high.
