Silca Secret Chain Blend

Silca Secret Chain Blend offers exceptionally low friction, long-lasting protection and keeps your chain remarkably clean. Thanks to the liquid wax, you enjoy hot melt performance without complicated applications. The chain will keep running smoothly even in wet or dusty conditions. Proper degreasing beforehand is essential to get the most out of this product. Although a bit more expensive, its durability and performance makes it worth every euro.

First time is a bit of work because your chain really needs to be grease-free. But the second time, you only need to wax the chain again. After waxing, the chain makes some noise at first, but that is over after about half an hour. I have ridden 500 km without waxing and that went fine. Just put it back in the pan, dry and you're good to go again. Another big advantage is that the chain (and thus your sprockets and bike) stay very clean. So I am very satisfied!

Ridden about 100km with the waxed chain and it really does ride super smooth. In addition, no dirt is left on the chain: after the ride, a microfibre cloth runs along the chain and it is back to school. It is very important to really clean the chain thoroughly before waxing.

Used other waxes before, but this stuff is of a totally different level. With most waxes, you have to apply/cycle/apply/... before the chain runs really smooth/noiseless, but with Silca you already have that effect after a single waxing. Also works well together with the Super Secret Chain Lube for quick lubrication of your chain in between uses. In principle, you can just put the bag in a pan of (almost) boiling water and throw the chain in it, but I don't find that very convenient, because it is then difficult to move the chain around a lot to make sure the wax really penetrates everywhere. That's why I bought a slow cooker for a few euros, although Silca itself has a (much more expensive) alternative for this.

Great product . First time takes quite long for the wax to melt but the next time it goes fast . No more dirty chain and little maintenance afterwards . I add the squirt dry wax to the chain every 200km .
