Sigma ROX 12.1 EVO GPS

I wanted to make a 'made in Europe' purchase after my Garmin 1030 gave up on me, but I got the wrong end of the stick: the device connects and syncs whenever it wants. I either have to close and relaunch the app, or switch the computer and/or laptop off and on again to be able to record a ride, or plug it into the USB port on my PC to send it to Strava, just like 15 years ago with the first GPS computers without Bluetooth.
