The cassette taker works easier than a chain whip and certainly better than a loose old chain. Have used it to convert a 12 Speed shimano cassette. It is a sturdy pair of pliers with a good grip on the cassette and therefore works pleasantly and easily. Should have invested in one much earlier!!! Very handy to have in the toolbox.

Works very practically. Immediately a firm grip on the cassette. Suitable for Campagnolo, Shimano and Sram.

Although a chain whip does its job just fine, I still bought this tool to remove my cassette. In practice, this trip works a lot nicer than a chain whip because the grip on the cassette is much better where there is no chance of loosening.

At last a real whip, long handle, great power, I effortlessly unlocked a stubborn cassette, impossible to undo without damaging the wheel with a conventional whip, thank you BBB!
